Mastered, Set- Go!
Hey everybody! Welcome to my brand new site.
Silly me- I deleted my whole website including all of last years journal entries! I was so disappointed :( But I suppose a fresh start is always a good thing!
We just got back from Nashville and we are shooting the video for my song 'Living In Our Love' next week, I'm so excited!
We finished mastering the album when we were in Nashville, and it sounds amazing!! I absolutely cannot wait to share it with everyone. In fact, there are a few clips of some BRAND NEW songs off my record 'Unbreakable' in the media section for you all to check out :)
The last six months have been the greatest adventure of my life. I was so glad to share it with all of you, and I'm even more excited to share the finished product with you! I'm blessed to have so many wonderful friends and fans in my life that support me- you guys are wonderful! xoxo

Are you ready to fall in love with music again?
Cadence Grace just may be the love of your life! With unbelievable talent and unending resolve, 24 year old Cadence Grace has already made a mark for herself as an A-level international artist.
To date, her songs have been used in major television and film programs including Dawsons Creek, Party of Five, Degrassi, Naturally Sadie, MTVs The Hills, CMT's Unstabled and many more- airing on major networks world-wide including: Disney channel, CBS, CTV, Lifetime Network, Family Channel, YTV, Sony Television Entertainment, Living TV [UK], TV3 [Ireland] plus numerous other international networks.
Having spent the last 6 years focussing mainly on publishing, a little bit of divine intervention last year led Cadence in a whole new direction. After her Mother suggested that she try out for CMTs Karaoke Star, Cadence agreed to try it out.
"I grew up listening and loving country music because of my mom. When I was young, everything I wrote was country! As I got older, I was led in the pop direction by industry people, and thats what started off my successful period in publishing. I always wanted to get back to the music that I really loved the most, and Karaoke Star was the perfect opportunity for me to make move back in that direction- It was like divine intervention."
After a 4 hour drive plagued with traffic, Cadence showed up late to the Ottawa auditions after they had already begun to pack up. After begging them to please let her give it a shot, they relented and told her to hurry up and get in front of the camera. When the music started and she began to sing, everyone else- stopped.
"It was the most surreal moment. Everyone was just standing and watching me in the lights, I was nervous and stressed because I was late, I was trying my hardest to keep it all together!"
But she did. Three hours later CMT called, and told her she was worth the wait, she had made it to the Ottawa Top Ten! Voting determined the Canadian Top Ten, and Cadence didnt receive enough votes to move on to the final round.
"I was really disappointed. I had tried so hard, and made it so far that I refused to accept the loss. I couldnt just give up!"
Cadence isnt one to give up easily at all- the very next morning, Cadence went on the CMT website and determined that she was still eligible to upload a web video of her performing, and could still secure a spot on the show as a cyber finalist. So she uploaded her video, and crossed her fingers! The CMT Judges had already seen Cadence in Ottawa and were already impressed by her talent, but her perseverance was what really struck them most. They rewarded her undeniable drive by giving her the final spot in the top ten, as a judges pick.
After that, the whirlwind began! Cadence flew to Banff to compete in the Canadian Finals and although she did not go on to win the competition; her appearance attracted a lot of attention. Weeks later she was in Nashville writing material for her first album, with incredible country writers like Bruce Wallace, Willie Mack, and Gerald OBrien.
"The best part of my first trip to Nashville was driving down music row with my mom, going so slow, and writing down the names of every company there. I made a promise to myself that I was going to go home, find out everything I could about every company, and find a way to show them what I had to offer"
Representing a fresh new look and sound for country music in Canada, Cadence Grace is ready to take her act out of the studio and into the streets! She has been back and forth to Nashville since October finishing up her album, and will be releasing her first single and music video for Living In Our Love, written with Willie Mack, in June, followed by her debut album release in July!
"This album is truly an expression of who I am. Writing it was such a personal experience. There hasnt been a household name in female Canadian country singers since Shania, and Im ready to add my name to that list! Ive been at this for years, and Im not giving up now! I have so many things to share, and Im going to keep sharing as long as people love what Im doing."

Her incredible and versatile voice has attracted attention from all over Canada and America, and everyone who hears her instantly understands what all the buzz is really about. Far From Over
The record is done. I feel like I can finally breathe that collective sigh of relief. Only the sigh doesn't last for very long. In fact it's almost immediately interrupted by my brain remembering that although the record is finished- the work is very very far from over!
Mastering the record was wonderful- an incredibly memorable trip. hearing all my songs, and hearing the record in their final stages, and seeing how far the project has come in six months was an eye opening, magical experience. I can truly say that Doug (Douglas Romanow) helped me bring my vision to life, and then some. Being involved from beginning to end truly makes me feel like this is my 'baby'! :)
I'm glad that everything came together the way I wanted, the record sounds phenomenal, and now the hardest part begins- finding the right people, who share my vision and believe in where I'm headed!
I'm going to spend some time trying to find the right partnership for me, and if I can't find one that has what I'm looking for, I'm going to be sleeping in my car driving coast to coast singing my little heart out and visiting radio stations until everyone across the country has heard my stuff! :)
We're shooting the video for 'Living In Our Love' next week and I'm very excited about that also! I can't wait to share everything I've been working so hard on with all of you finally!
